About Altura Capital

Altura Capital provides multi-manager investment solutions, institutional advisory and information to some of the largest institutional investors in US and the world.

Altura was established in 2005 to generate new alpha creation opportunities for institutional investors by unleashing the potential of undiscovered and under-utilized investment talent. Through its own breakthrough research, Altura found that small, nimble, emerging investment firms tend to perform better than their larger peers.  Our vision is to bring together the intellectual capital, methods, research, benchmarks, and implementation tools that allow organizations to harness the power of diversity in all steps of the investment management process. Altura provides services to some of the largest institutional investors in the country.

Altura provides these service models:

  • Asset Management
  • Diversity in the Management of InvestmentsTM Research Advisory
  • Emerging Managers Information Platform

In 2008, Altura launched its proprietary online application that allows users access to an extensive universe of untapped talent in the investment industry, broaden diversity investment opportunities for public and private pension funds, promote transparency and access to capital, and develop a better understanding of emerging investment firms.

In 2009, Altura was awarded a manager-of-managers mandate as a sub-advisor to AllianceBernstein in the US Treasury's Capital Purchase Program (CPP). Working with AllianceBernstein, we act as a manager-of-manager on behalf of the US Treasury for a number of managers that have been selected by the US Treasury.

We have also been selected as a sub-advisor to AllianceBernstein for the US Treasury's Private-Public Investment Program (PPIP). This fund had its first close on October 2, 2009 with a value of $642 million. The fund has total purchasing power of just over $4 billion.

Altura Capital is headquartered in New York City and has other offices in Chicago and Seattle. Altura is a Women-owned and Hispanic-owned company.
